KOSY and Adorno Arquitectos have won the international competition for the Marine, Business, Research and Innovation Center (MBRIC) at Roosevelt Roads in Puerto Rico.

MBRIC is envisioned as a new hub for the blue economy in the Caribbean, bringing research, training, and public life together on a coastal site shaped by hurricane conditions, flood risk, and salt air. The proposal treats those forces as design drivers, a building that is resilient by structure, light on the ground, and open to the waterfront.
