Turku Smile has been published by ArchDaily as part of a curated selection of conceptual museum projects from the ArchDaily community.

Set in Turku, Finland, the proposal frames a Museum of History and the Future around a simple public idea, an egalitarian building that extends the public realm through the lobby and into rooftop gardens, drawing on Finland’s Jokaisenoikeus, the freedom to roam.

Turku Smile is positioned as a keystone for Linnanniemi’s emerging art district, while maintaining a respectful relationship to the historic Turku Castle.
